There is a paradigm shift in the field of laser and energy-based devices. These devices are having an impact on the health of the skin. Our understanding has moved beyond laser-tissue interactions to device-biology interactions. This course will review the basic science mechanisms behind the efficacy of these devices. This course will teach how to treat and prevent skin cancer. The use of lasers, energy-based devices, laser assisted drug delivery as well as oral and topical chemoprevention will be discussed. Real world experience will be integrated.
