Gerardo Guilarte is an M.D. candidate in the Class of 2027 at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and serves as the 2025-2026 Research Fellow under Sonal Choudhary, MD, at UPMC Dermatology. His work spans investigator-initiated dermatology research, educational project development, and scholarly writing, with interests in integrative dermatology, skin of color, LGBTQ+ health, and clinician and community education. He has contributed to multiple accepted and submitted publications, national presentations, and educational resources, and has served as lead proposal author and project coordinator for funded educational initiatives, including a pilot CME program focused on chronic hand eczema education for health professionals.
