Dr. Eliot F. Battle, Jr. is the CEO and co-founder of Cultura Dermatology & Plastic Surgery. Cultura’s groundbreaking center, located in Washington, DC, is an important destination for patients from all over the world as well as physicians seeking advance training.
Dr. Battle’s did his research and clinicaal fellowship at Harvard’s Wellman laboratories of Photomedicine and was one of the researchers involved in pioneering the use of lasers on skin of color, opening the field to patients of all cultures, regardless of skin of color or ethnicity.
Dr. Battle's numerous national academic honors and awards, which include induction into Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, recognition as a National Institute of Health research scholar, awarded the Innovations in Skin of Color Dermatology Award and has been the co-chair of the Skin of Color Update conference for the last 16-years.
Dr. Battle is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Laser Medicine & Surgery, and numerous International Societies. He is a former Chairman of the Dermatology Section of the National Medical Association and a former President of the Howard University Medical Alumni Association. Dr. Battle and his center have also been awarded numerous business awards including Emerging Business of the Year Award and the Business Leader Award.
