Dr. Hye Jin (Leah) Chung is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School and the Director of Cosmetic and Laser Surgery as well as the Pigmentary, Scarring, and Inflammatory Disorder Clinic at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.
Dr. Chung earned her MD and MMSc from Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea, in 2001, where she also completed her dermatology residency and a combined cosmetic and research fellowship. She continued her training in the United States, completing a postdoctoral research fellowship in keloids and collagen-related disorders, followed by a dermatology residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, in 2014, and a dermatopathology fellowship at Boston University in 2016.
Dr. Chung is dual board-certified in dermatology and dermatopathology. Her academic interests include laser-based treatments for scars and pigmentary disorders, histologic assessment of energy-based devices, and dermatologic care for patients with Asian skin.
