Dr. David Hashemi is a Harvard-trained, double-board certified Mohs Surgeon and Dermatologist, with dual fellowship training in both Mohs Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology. He completed his fellowship training at the largest surgical and cosmetic dermatology practice in New York City, where he trained with Dr. Roy Geronemus (a pioneer in both Mohs surgery and laser/cosmetic dermatology) and a team of renowned New York plastic surgeons in complex post-Mohs reconstruction.
Dr. Hashemi has trained at several of the most respected hospitals in the nation. He completed Dermatology residency across all Harvard hospitals, including Massachusetts General, Brigham and Women's, Beth Israel Deaconess, and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Prior to that he completed internship year at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, and post-baccalaureate studies at Johns Hopkins University, after earning his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a degree in Economics, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Chicago. Within Cutaneous Oncology, this training puts him in the unique position of having trained at 2 of the nation's top 3 cancer centers.
Within cosmetics and lasers, Dr. Hashemi is the only Dermatologist in the nation to have trained both at Harvard / Massachusetts General Hospital and at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York. As a result, he crafted his cosmetic and surgical skills under several of the pioneers in the field, with most lasers and cosmetic technologies originating from Harvard/MGH, and many of the leading cosmetic trials and techniques pioneered by Dr. Geronemus.
Today, Dr. Hashemi performs the full range of procedural dermatology including lasers, injectibles, Mohs surgery, and other surgical procedures, working in Monmouth and Bergen counties in New Jersey and at the office of Dr. Roy Geronemus in New York City.
